It’s Super Tuesday, and that means it is our duty as concerned American Citizens to go out and vote in these important Primaries. For those of you in Massachusetts, like myself, you can visit this site and get your local polling station location information.
It is important to me that we begin a process of change in this country, and part of the way to bring that change is to plan for the upcoming November elections. So, if you feel strongly about this coming election, then you need to be out and voting in this Primary to ensure that the candidates you want to see are a part of the coming election.
So, with that out of the way, I come to an interesting endorsement. But first some background.
Now, I can’t, in good conscience, support the current administration and the party that kept it in power the last several years. The damages to our civil rights, our National Security, our Constitution and our Economy are clear and present, and can be laid at the feet of the Republican Party.
Now that is my opinion, and I understand not everyone will hold it. I am “speaking” now to those who do hold it, and are planning on supporting a Democratic Party candidate. Many of my friends who are Democrats (and I am not, I am proudly an Independent and a Modernist, as defined by David Brin) are unsure whom to support, Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama.
To those people, I point to this interesting video that is a concise and intelligent comparison and finally an endorsement. I encourage you to give this endorsement from Lawrence Lessig a listen. I know it helped me articulate ideas that I had no words for. Maybe it will help you.
