Now I am depressed. I mean seriously, just how fucked up is this country. I love my home town, the people here, heck people everywhere, but sometimes, I read this stuff and I just shake my head and go, OMGWTFBBQ?
Here is a list of stupid shit I read this morning that has me depressed.
- Sex Ed discussion with her own kids gets mom arrested and prosecuted. - Seriously, do ultra conservatives who protest sex education at school, now want to protest it at home. Maybe they just don’t like the method of presentation. Maybe they want learn like they did, with daddy in the shed behind the house.
- China holds US Economy Hostage - Many people are generally unaware of just how much our economic well being is supported by the debt support provided to us by foreign lenders like China. I’m sorry, but the billions of dollars of deficit spending have to come from somewhere. They aren’t summoned out of thin air like a bad video game.
- Cities Deny Due Process on Parking Violations - Hey, what are your rights to us man? This is MONEY we’re talking about.
- Girl Gets Detention for Hugging - Ok, I understand the desire of schools to protect themselves from lawsuits, but this is ridiculous. Doesn’t intent enter into this at some point? Have we all just gone completely crazy?
Damn, I need to go get my drink on and try and forget how I ruined my morning by reading the news.
