In my last post I wrote about how the Vice President has decided he is a branch of the government onto himself. So, the story has been picked up by the networks, and people have been digging into it with a little more detail. Over in this post on ThinkProgress, I learned that the folks over at MSNBC have look a little closer at this document (which I posted about yesterday) which was supposed to provide justification for the Vice Presidential exception.
Of course you can guess what comes next! It doesn’t provide an exception. It actually says the opposite. Perhaps Mr. Cheney will learn that he is not above the law. Maybe he will learn that he is responsible to the people. We can only hope.
