Construction Courtesy - Should I complain?

One of my neighbors is having some demolition work done to their condo. I know this because a truck is parked out front and guys with debris keep coming out of the building and throwing it into said truck. No big deal, some things need to happen when you are working on your place.

What is annoying and makes me want to complain is that…

  • No work permits are posted.
  • The sidewalk is blocked. No big deal for me, but what about my senior citizen neighbors who need to get by?
  • The work area is not blocked off. Stuff is getting tossed into the truck, and nothing is there to prevent it from falling on me as I walk by, nor is it posted to warn me to look out for it.

Am I just being a whiny bitch, or am I right to want to complain?

Quit you’re crying. For christ sakes what the hell has come over you boy! You live in the perfect state when someone trying to improve their home doesn’t interfere with your life, but you feel the need to see their building permit. Shut the hell up and go about your business if they’re not bothering you. Why do they need to block off the work area? If you can’t see that they are working there, then you have much bigger issues then walking into a work zone.

I can feel the tide turning ,you’re changing from Freedom fighter to Socialist overnight.
