With a little digging (no pun intended) into this story, I actually found the proposed language for the Bill, which if you care, can be found here. Take a look at page 109.
The idea that the companies knowingly and willfully cooperated with an illegal order from a security agency of this government and can now go ahead and get off the hook after stepping all over our rights and the law is reprehensible to me. To shield them from lawsuits is simply wrong.
