I went and saw and interesting show with a few friends tonight. It was at The Paradise Rock Club. It was a good show. Brad, Jen, Mark and I all enjoyed it. The opening act was an unknown pair of suck-asses, but the main event was good. Army of Anyone is made up of the remnants of Filter and Stone Temple Pilots. There were songs from both bands as well as new material. Its worth checking them out I think. Not a bad night for $20.00.
It should be noted that the drummer, Ray Luzier, must either be suffering from touretts(sp?), is a speed freak, or is simply not human. The man can play drums like nobody’s business. Most players only lift the sticks as far off the drum face as needed for the next strike. This guy however, seems to like bringing the drumsticks back behind his head. He hits the drums at incredible speed and intensity, and that is worth seeing or hearing all by itself.
